Welcome to GateBuddy. By accessing or using our website and application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
GateBuddy provides independent online NNAT® practice for students in grades 2 through 4. Features may include focused question-type practice, explanations, full-length practice tests, progress summaries, parent-managed student profiles, and approved student-device access. GateBuddy is intended for parents and guardians to manage on behalf of their children.
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of each student you add. You may sign in with a secure email link or a supported identity provider. You are responsible for maintaining control of your email account, connected identities, and approved student devices, and for all activity under your account.
GateBuddy may offer a limited free sampler, fixed-term access plans purchased with a one-time payment, and automatically renewing subscription plans. The price, access period, billing frequency, renewal terms, included features, and applicable student-profile and device limits for each plan will be clearly displayed before purchase. Those checkout terms form part of your agreement with us.
If you purchase an automatically renewing plan, you authorize GateBuddy and its payment processor to charge the payment method provided at the billing interval shown at checkout until you cancel. Your plan renews automatically at the price shown at checkout unless you cancel before renewal. Promotional pricing, when offered, applies according to the terms displayed at checkout.
Current subscription plans may include monthly, quarterly, and annual billing options. Monthly plans renew every month, quarterly plans renew every three months, and annual plans renew every twelve months, in each case at the price displayed and accepted at checkout. For annual subscriptions, we will send a renewal reminder before renewal when required by applicable law.
You may cancel future renewal through the billing management page made available in your parent account, through Stripe Customer Portal when available, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and does not ordinarily end access before the conclusion of the paid billing period. We will not enroll you in recurring billing unless the recurring terms are disclosed at checkout and you affirmatively agree to them.
Fixed-term plans do not renew unless the checkout page expressly states otherwise. Access begins when payment is completed and expires at the end of the purchased access period. Prices are shown before purchase, and taxes may be added where required. Payment processing is provided by Stripe, and use of Stripe Checkout may also be subject to Stripe's terms and privacy practices.
First-time purchases of paid GateBuddy access include a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within seven calendar days of purchase. To request one, email support@gatebuddy.org from the parent email used for the purchase and include your purchase details. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Timing depends on your financial institution.
After the 7-day period, purchases are nonrefundable except where required by applicable law. We may decline a refund request involving fraud, abuse, chargeback activity, or a material violation of these Terms. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or disputed, the related paid access may be revoked.

All content on GateBuddy, including questions, answer choices, explanations, illustrations, tests, audio, design, question-generation methods, and code, is owned by GateBuddy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms and the limits of your plan, GateBuddy grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and use the service solely for personal, non-commercial preparation within your parent-managed household. No ownership right or commercial license is transferred to you.
You may not copy, publish, sell, license, sublicense, scrape, redistribute, publicly display, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from GateBuddy content without our prior written permission, except to the extent such activity cannot lawfully be restricted. Tutors, schools, learning centers, publishers, test-preparation businesses, researchers, and other organizations must obtain a separate written license before using GateBuddy content or accounts for commercial, instructional, institutional, research, or product-development purposes.
GateBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GateBuddy and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising from your use of the service.
GateBuddy is a supplemental practice tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the publisher of the NNAT®, any school, or any school district. NNAT® and related names are trademarks of their respective owners.
We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, payment reversal, security risk, or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
