Welcome to GateBuddy. By accessing or using our website and application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Description of Service

GateBuddy provides an online platform for practicing cognitive ability test questions (CogAT, NNAT) designed to help children prepare for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) screening. The service is intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children.

2. Accounts

You may sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on GateBuddy — including questions, illustrations, design, and code — is owned by GateBuddy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute this content without our written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

GateBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Practice content will match any specific test format or guarantee test results.
• The service will meet your specific requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GateBuddy and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising from your use of the service.

7. Educational Disclaimer

GateBuddy is a supplemental practice tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any test publisher (including Riverside Insights, Pearson, or any school district). CogAT and NNAT are registered trademarks of their respective owners. Practice results do not predict actual test performance.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the service at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
